All of us have temptations. They can be for illicit sex, illicit drugs, or something like stealing or envy. In this culture we are trained to think that all instincts are "normal" and how can feelings be wrong after all? If we are tempted to do something, that means we want it, and all of our urges (wether they be sexual or not) can't be wrong, can't they?
Well they can be wrong. In fact, they can be very wrong. Instead of giving into the culture of today you should listen to the words of Nephi right here. Should you give into temptations of the flesh? No, because the devil truly did put them in there, and yes, eventually it'll destroy your peace and afflict your soul. Do your best to avoid temptation-once you've already subjected yourself to it it'll be easy to give in to it. It's much easier to say no to something when it's not being offered to you in the first place.
