Scripture Sunday Alma 28:14

Life is not supposed to be one where you work your entire life from fifteenish-eighty and then you die. While a part of life certainly should be used to pursue gainful employment no one will be on their deathbed and say that they wished they worked longer hours.

Many, many religious types love to focus on working because they think it'll keep you out of trouble. Idle hands are the devils playground after all. This is partially true-studies show that busier people are generally happier and happier people don't usually do things that are sinful and evil-but part of life can and should be vegging out and partying.

Of course sorrow is part of life and this passage contrasts between the sorrow of death and destruction and the joy and happiness that Christ brings. So many religions focus on the negativity, sorrow and doom that they forget that focusing on Christ can and should bring happiness and rejoicing.
