Usually for political purposes people complain about the price of gasoline. They did it during the Bush years, they did it during the Obama years. The people who complain are on both sides of the aisle. The left complained that the price of gasoline was too high in 06-08. The right answered correctly that the president has nothing to do with gas prices. Oddly, the right then complained that the price of gas was too high during the Obama years. Oddly, the left correctly said that the president has nothing to do with gasoline prices. Such is the nature of politics.
Gasoline is incredibly cheap. We should be thanking the oil companies for producing it so cheaply. Yes, you read that correctly. Here is a quick list of things more expensive than gasoline:
Coke (the soft drink, not sure about the other "coke") about $3.84 a gallon
Bottled Water $10.24 a gallon
Laundry soap $19.20 a gallon
Red Bull $28.16 a gallon
Nail Polish $1,024 a gallon
