Belgium

First off, we should all be in prayer for the lives lost. It's another horrific attack by psychopaths with the intent on killing innocent people. Three LDS missionaries were also injured. I'm praying for them and the other victims of this senseless attack.

Second, I'm not sure how we can stop this. How do you defend yourself against an attacker who is intent on killing themselves? How do we stop attacks without sacrificing our freedom and civil liberties?

Thirdly, and most importantly we need to remember this. The world is actually getting safer. That's right. Terrorist attacks can shake the foundation of our lives-they make us feel helpless and I can see why. The media doesn't help either. If it bleeds, it leads.

Here is an interesting piece on how the world really is getting safer.

Here is another one.

It's a sad thing to think that no matter how tolerant, loving and accepting we are, there are people out there who want to kill us.

Keep calm and carry on.
