Kiss-Hot in the Shade
The 1980's Kiss albums are mostly forgettable, with the exception of Creatures of the Night. It appears that Kiss taking off their make up was terrible idea, and Kiss losing Ace Freehley, Peter Criss and going through 7 other guitarists really sapped the energy and creative spirit from the band as well. This album isn't very good either, but it has two Kiss songs I really like-"Boomerang" and "Little Caesar".
"Boomerang" is as close to metal as Kiss ever gets. No, it's not metal it's more like very fast rock, but it's still a good song. I'm not sure if it's a stand alone good song or just so unlike the regular Kiss songs that it makes it more distinct and memorable. "Little Caesar" is a fun song that, upon second glance, gives the world the ultimate punk feeling-it's about someone not fitting into the world and having no problem with that at all. The entire rest of the album is mediocre, and these songs might not be your thing, but they are worth a listen on Youtube, no doubt.
