Election predictions

After 2016, I don't listen to anyone making election predictions. None. If you think my candidate will win, lose, draw-I don't care. You shouldn't either. Remember when the New York Times had the chances of Hillary winning at close to 100%? (Yes,  they said 92%, but that is close to 100%).

The Trump election in 2016 made all predications irrelevant. Even the ones that said Trump would win. If you thought Trump would win you either guessed or you had this amazing ability to be psychic. Predictions were saying that Trump would lose Texas, much less Michigan and Pennsylvania. Trump won for many factors- democrats stayed home, and people wanted a "Change" from the 8 years of Obama rule.

Granted, none of that is in play this election and yes, in most elections the party in power does suffer some losses. So you can make some vague guesses, but we all need to be careful not to make any sweeping predictions about this.
