Could the best college team beat the worst pro team?

This question comes up from time to time-whenever a really great college team comes around (Alabama for football, Duke for Basketball) people ask if they are so good that they could beat the pro team going though the worst season at the time. People who don't understand sports or reality seem to believe that a group of amateurs could beat a group of people who are getting paid huge amounts of money to do a job. Simply put, there is no way a college team, even a great college team, could beat a pro team. None. 

None. 

Even on the best college team, only a few players will go pro. They aren't good enough to go pro. In the professional leagues, even on the worst team, all of them are good enough to go pro. They are faster, stronger,  meaner and more importantly-more experienced than the any team of college players. In college, the players are still kids. In the pros, you are dealing with grown men. The mentality difference is huge. 

So no, Duke couldn't beat the Cavaliers and Alabama couldn't beat the Raiders. There is no chance of that happening.
