A Minnesota teaching assistant was apparently put "on leave" for threatening to kill Justice Kavanaugh. I'm surprised she was put on leave. I thought she'd be promoted to full time teacher and given tenure. If she was a college professor, this surely would have happened.
Of course, you level of outrage here depends on what side of the fence you are on. A conservative republican will be outraged, shocked and appalled. A liberal democrat might just chalk it up to someone being overly emotional or enthusiastic or worse, they might say it's no big deal and she shouldn't face punishment.
The reality is that is is vile. Yes, even if you threaten politicians who I disagree with, it's still vile. That someone can do this and not be universally despised shows how far our political discourse has fallen.
