Scripture Sunday Alma 15:16

No matter what the reason is, betrayal by friends and family can be among the worst things that happens to someone. While no scripture passage can make the pain easier to deal with, it is comforting sometimes to know that it's happened in the past. Like many other subjects that we have to deal with today, the Book of Mormon has scripture verses about that as well.

We don't know the details of course and the "good news" is that they still had each other-but being LDS we sometimes have to deal with the disapproval we once considered friends. In the worst cases, people we were once very close too no longer speak or associate with us. Thankfully, this has never happened to me-but I know a few converts who sadly have dealt with this.
