Poison-Look What the Cat Dragged In
While I think "Open Up and Say Ahh" is their best overall album "Look What the Cat Dragged In" is also good. The title track is a sure fire classic and is among the better hair band anthems of the time. The subject matter of partying all night and sleeping all day is truly how these bands really lived or how they wanted to present to the public how they lived. It's one of my favorite songs of the era. So is "Talk Dirty to Me" another tawdry 1980's song and one of their biggest hits.
I recently saw Bret Michaels live after a Tampa Rays game. For a guy who suffered some serious health problems it was truly wonderful to see him bouncing around the stage and singing with energy and passion. Poison is a sometimes forgotten about or viewed as an afterthought when talking about 80's hair bands but they'll never be forgotten by true fans of the genre.
