Punk is political. Even the Ramones, who aren't known for their politics, have a few highly charged political songs.
Pennywise was, for many of us, the first introduction to political punk. People complain about most of their songs sound the same-but that's punk. It's not known for it's complexity. Pennywise suffers from the delusion that all punk bands do-they grossly over estimate their own value. That said, Pennywise is still a great band for those who are into political punk. Land of the free is their best album.
My views on most authority can be summed up by their most well known song too.
