Many other passages in the Book of Mormon talk about "hearkening unto His voice" but not many other passages talk about the pain and suffering that He endured in order to save us. Our human minds can not comprehend the amount of agony that He suffered in order to save us-mostly because if we could comprehend it, it would overwhelm us. It almost overwhelmed Him-several times during His passion He asked for the cup to be taken from Him.
It's interesting to me that this passage talks about the pains of "all living creatures", then says "both men, women and children who belong to the family of Adam." Does that mean that there is some kind of salvation for animals? Why did the writer say "all living creatures"then say only "men, women and children and all those who belong to the family of Adam." It seems like the writer, and therefore God, left the door open to their being some kind of eternal life for "creatures".
