Anvil-Forged in Fire
I never liked this album. It always struck me as having few good songs, but also feeling over produced. It lacks the freshness of Metal on Metal and the purity of Hard and Heavy. However, I've given it another listen recently and while I stand by my original points-it still sounds over produced.
Anvil is a strange band. They are fairly influential in the thrash metal realm, but very few people outside that fandom know who they are. Even after the movie that came out, they seem to have faded away into obscurity once again. Like many bands, their first few albums were the best. This album isn't as good as Metal on Metal or Hard and Heavy, but check it out if you are into the genre.
