The Boy Scouts might have to declare bankruptcy. No, you can't blame "the left" and no, you can't blame the LDS church for leaving them. Whenever an organization declares bankruptcy, there are many reasons. Did their break with the LDS church help them? Of course not. Did their decision to allow girls in help them? Nope. The nail in the coffin was actually sexual assault cases and having to settle them for huge amounts of money. Catholic church-take notes.
I'm not sure they'll go under for this. It's not going to help, a bankruptcy never does, but I'm not sure they'll cease operations because of this. I feel sorry for people who dedicated their lives to Scouting (and I had no idea how important Scouting was to some people) because this is another black eye to the Boy Scouts organization.
