If your kid is over age seven and is so stupid that he has to be told not to eat laundry detergent, it's not Tides fault. It's not the schools fault. It is your own fault, along with the kid maybe. Unless the kid has a legit, cognitive disability then you have failed somewhere along the road of parenthood.
This goes to show a bigger issue. The nanny state takes a problem and punishes the people who aren't responsible in the first place. Also, if Tide is forced by state law to change the color of it's detergent, it'll effect their business and their bottom line. Tide didn't request this. They didn't tell people to eat their detergent.
It's currently being debated in the New York statehouse but I'm confident it'll be coming to a statehouse near you.
We tend to blame everyone but ourselves when these type of things happen. We don't become accountable!
ReplyDeleteCorrect. Instead we'll create a nation of dependents that can't accept personal responsibility when things go wrong.
