Shut up and dribble

I've never been overly impressed with Laura Ingraham, the right wing pundit who has her own radio show and Fox news show. She got herself attention in the early 2000's by telling left leaning celebrities to "shut up and sing". It cost the Dixie Chicks severely in their fanbase and to some degree, their career need really got back on track. No, I don't listen to them but it seems like they've never regained the popularity they had after that controversy. Laura Ingraham is up to it again, this time telling Lebron James to "Shut up and dribble."

The only person who needs to rethink what they are saying is Ms. Ingraham. Maybe she's trying to score points for her side (she is) maybe she's trying to solidify her position on the right as a slightly more polite Ann Coulter (she is) or maybe she just wants attention (she does) but she should have grown out of telling people to "shut up" in 5th grade. Telling someone to "shut up" instead of debating what they say is only done when you don't have a comeback to what the argument and want to throw a temper tantrum. Yes, the left does it too.

Agree with what he says or not, LeBron James has every right to say whatever he wants, whenever he wants. In fact, telling him to "shut up and dribble" just shows that Ms. Ingraham has nothing interesting to say in response to whatever LeBron said.
