The other day in church we had a speaker who talked about
truth. She mentioned how society has drifted away from it and yet, we as
Mormons, still cling to the iron rod.
It’s a cliché to say this, but the old quote “The more
society drifts from the truth the more society dislikes those who speak it.”
I’m reminded of the words of Pilate in Jesus Christ Superstar, “What is truth, are
yours the same as mine?” Moral relativism has been around forever and it always
will be.
I think it takes more strength to stand up for the truth
today than it does to buy into mainstream societal values
