The Queers-Move Back Home
The Queers have the added benefit of being both really good,
and really un-pc. Even the name is controversial.
My love of the Ramones is obvious, and The Queers are pop punk Ramones style. Move Back Home is one of their best albums-I love the song “I Gotta Girlfriend” and “She’s a Cretin”. It sounds sort of surf like (like the Ramones, of course) so if you are into angry punk, move along. People dismiss it by calling it “bubblegum” and that takes away from the grittiness of the overall sound. “Move Back Home” doesn’t really do the gritty thing (No Social Distortion here folks) it’s more fun and playful.
