Mormons and Happiness.

“Happiness is a serious problem” –Dennis Prager.

He was right. Unhappy people do incredible damage in the world. Ask yourself-do happy people rob banks and shoot innocent people? They don’t.

Another deeply troubling issue: Unhappy people do incredible damage to their religion.

Nagging, sour or morose LDS do more harm to the church than the most rabid unbeliever.  Non-members will say: Wow! Are all religious people and Mormons like that?

Like no other religion, Mormons are often thought of being very happy.  We are. The joy we have in our lives in amazing and we should show it.

None of this is to say we can’t be sarcastic, have dry senses of humor or look through the world with rose -colored glasses. You can still be happy and joyous when things aren’t going swimmingly well.

The joy we have in our hearts needs to be shared with the world. That and the restored gospel are the two biggest truths we can give to society.
