Is there anything more annoying than someone assuming they
can tell you something that will crush your faith life? I’ve had people in my
life say, “Oh, you don’t want my opinion of Mormonism. It would affect your
faith.” My response is “Oh really? Do you think you are so full of knowledge
that I’m going to say Wow! Thanks for explaining it to me! I never thought of
that!”
Don’t assume LDS people haven’t heard every single anti-LDS
argument in the world. Nor should you assume that you are so brilliant that with
your combined knowledge and wit you can single handily destroy someone’s faith
life. You probably aren’t.
