Trump was right, Sears was mismanaged. Big time. That said, I'm not sure even the best managers could have saved this train wreck.
Sears never adapted. Their stores look old and they never seemed to change philosophies after they shut down the catalog in the early 90's. Ask yourself-Does Sears look like Target? Wal Mart? No, of course not. They are a dinosaur, and now it's the end as they declared bankruptcy on Monday morning. Their CEO stepped down, and now it's all over but the crying. I'm not upset, I was never a big Sears shoppe, but I can understand why people of an older generation aren't taking the closing of Sears well.
Then again, the older generation is partially to blame. If they liked Sears that much, perhaps shopping at it more often would have kept it in business.
