Back in high school my school preformed the play "The Crucible". The girl playing Tituba preformed in blackface. Even back then I thought it was a bad idea, but no one agreed with me. That girl (who was one of my best friends growing up) hopefully better not run for office because if she does and someone finds a yearbook, she's in serious trouble.
You might think that getting upset about white people being in blackface is politically correct, thin skinned, or overly sensitive. You have every right to feel that way. However, society disagrees with you. If you ever put on blackface or are thinking about doing it now, you better think again. It's not something that you want to deal with. Fair or not (and frankly, it is offensive and stupid to dress up like that) you are going to be butchered and you could face serious controversy.
It's better to adapt to changing social customs than complain about them.
